The Educator’s Creed: Ask Me a Question

Sapped of all energy I comply

Meekly do I wander seeking rest and relaxation

I humbly recline as my eyes droop

Reflecting inward, a sly smile crosses my lips as I envision the future successes of the children I have helped

I sink into the cushions knowing my day is done

But understand that another just like it

Will soon begin

Starting this cycle anew

With daily struggles, anxieties, questions, conundrums

Yet I

And only I

Will have all of the answers

So just ask

Always think

For deep inside

With my imparted wisdom

You soon shall have the knowledge I compile.

Then you too

Will have some of the answers

Always looking for an educator

Who can reveal all.
